The sixteenth edition of ChinaJoy, the biggest Chinese trade fair of electronic entertainment content, took place in Shanghai in August 2018. Together with representatives of CzechInvest, Lipa Learning exhibited at the event, where it presented its new Lipa Land application to the public. This all-in-one application comprises 21 sub-applications containing a full range of fairy tales, games, tips for at-home creativity and articles for the whole family. The app for IOS, Android, Huawei and China Telecom will be introduced to the Chinese market in January 2019. The new product attracted especially representatives of distribution channels and members of young families to the trade fair.
CzechInvest took part in several meetings with potential partners of Lipa Learning, such as Moyu Technology, which expressed interest in collaborating with the Czechs following the tradeshow, and also discussed possible future collaboration with firms not only from China, but also from the United States, Japan and South Korea, namely Bilibili Games, Skymoons, Gameviews and Mengguo, for example.
This year’s ChinaJoy is not the only event where Czech companies attracted attention in Asia. For example, the same happened in 2016, when Bohemia Interactive commenced cooperation with the world’s biggest gaming company, Tencent, following a trade fair and subsequently put the Ylands video game on the market.
